Smart film in your region

Smart film in Mechelen

Mechelen combines a compact city centre with new residential projects and offices between Antwerp and Brussels. When you live or work close together, you want both daylight and privacy. Smart film makes your existing glass switchable, without new windows.

How smart film works on existing glass

Smart film, also called PDLC film, is a thin switchable film applied to your existing pane. So you do not need to replace the glass.

Without power the film is frosted, with a milky-glass effect that lets light through but blurs the view. With power the film turns clear, with 92% transparency.

You control the film via the app, the remote control or with Google Home and Alexa. The film blocks up to 99% of UV radiation and comes with a 4-year warranty.

Applications in Mechelen

In narrow streets and dense neighbourhoods, people can easily look in. At the same time, many people in Mechelen work from home or in smaller offices. Smart film helps in both places.

Terraced homes in the centre

Switch street-facing windows to frosted when passers-by come too close, and to clear when you want to enjoy the light.

New apartments

In new apartments with large glazed areas you keep the open feel, but decide yourself when the neighbours cannot look in.

Home office

A glass door or wall to your home office turns frosted during a video call, so you can work undisturbed.

Smaller offices

Offices for commuters and small teams get a meeting room with a glass wall that you screen off on demand.
