Questions about smart film for offices
Which window film is best for an office?
For glass partitions that can stay frosted all the time, fixed frosted window film is enough. If you want a meeting room to be open at some times and screened at others, switchable smart film is the better choice: you decide when the glass is frosted.
Can smart film go on an existing glass partition?
Yes, if the glass is flat and undamaged. The film is cut to size and applied to the existing partition, without replacing the glass. You do need a socket or power point nearby.
How much does smart film for a meeting room cost?
A glass partition of 300 × 220 cm is 6.6 m². At €179 per m², the film costs €1,181.40, plus a one-time €149.99 for the transformer with Wi-Fi app. All prices excl. VAT, installation extra.
Is the glass completely opaque in frosted mode?
No. The film scatters the light, so the view becomes blurred. With bright light behind the glass, silhouettes may stay visible. It is not intended for projecting a presentation onto the glass or for a full blackout.
