Smart film in your region

Smart film in Brussels

Brussels has many office buildings with glass meeting rooms, as well as apartments with large windows on busy streets. Smart film makes your existing glass switchable: open and bright when possible, frosted when confidentiality or privacy is needed.

How smart film works on existing glass

Smart film, also called PDLC film, is a thin switchable film applied to your existing pane. So you do not need to replace the glass.

Without power the film is frosted, with a milky-glass effect that lets light through but blurs the view. With power the film turns clear, with 92% transparency.

You control the film via the app, the remote control or with Google Home and Alexa. The film blocks up to 99% of UV radiation and comes with a 4-year warranty.

Applications in Brussels

From offices around the European institutions to apartments on the edge of the city: in Brussels people often work and live in several languages. That is why our information is available in Dutch, French, English and German.

Offices and meeting rooms

For meetings where confidential information is discussed, switch the glass wall to frosted. After the meeting the office stays open and bright. Control via app, remote control or voice assistant.

Organisations, associations and consultancies

Offices, associations and consultancies that handle sensitive files can screen their meeting rooms without fixed walls or blinds.

City apartments

In apartments with windows onto the street or an inner courtyard, you keep the daylight and screen yourself off when you want, without heavy curtains.

Multilingual advice

You can submit your request in Dutch, French, English or German. The website is available in those four languages, so everyone in your team can read the information.

Questions about smart film in Brussels

Does Privé Glas supply smart film in Brussels?

Yes. We supply made-to-measure smart film throughout Belgium, including the Brussels-Capital Region. The film is delivered tested with busbars, cables, a transformer with Wi-Fi app, a manual and an installation video.

Can I request a quote in French or English?

Yes. Our website is available in Dutch, French, English and German, and you can submit your request in any of those languages.

Is smart film suitable for meeting rooms in an office building?

Smart film is often used on the glass walls of meeting rooms. In the frosted state the film scatters light, so people can no longer see clearly inside. It is a frosted-glass effect, not a blackout. For a rented office, check with the owner or building management first.

How much does smart film cost for an office in Brussels?

Smart film costs €179 per m² excl. VAT, plus a one-time €149.99 excl. VAT for the transformer with Wi-Fi app. Installation is optional. With the measurements of your glass walls you receive a tailored quote.
