What does smart film cost per m²? Worked examples

The price of smart film consists of two parts. The first is the film itself, priced per square metre. Because every film is cut to the exact size of your pane, you only pay for the area you need.

The second part is the Wi-Fi transformer. It converts mains voltage into the voltage the film needs and enables control via the app. The transformer costs a one-time €149.99 excl. VAT. You then control the film via the app or the remote control, and also with Google Home and Alexa.

So the formula is simple: width × height of the glass in metres gives the number of m². Multiply that by the price per m² and add the transformer.

Measure the width and height of the visible glass, from edge to edge. Do this in several places, because windows and frames are not always perfectly straight, and note the smallest measurement each time. Work in millimetres; for the price calculation, convert them to metres.

If you have several panes, measure each one separately. Include a photo with your quote request as well, so we can see what type of glass and frame it is.

Here are three examples. All amounts are excl. VAT and without installation. The first amount is the film, the second the film together with the transformer.
